I had a blog in blogspot before i got one here and am I gla i kept it. Xanga is seriously limited in its ability and flexibilty for a novice at html like me. So I will be updating more often at www.luminoth.blogspot.com.

Sometimes I wonder if Nintendo is going to sue me for using their trademarks as my blog names

Cuba Street Carnival!

<FONT face=Journal color=000000 size=5>Tonight was the night of the Cuba Street Carnival parade...aka some part of this absolutely positively Wellington. i arrived at 6 pm and met up with some students from Malaysia. There were swarms of people, but the activities were lacking. So, we waited till 9.30 when the parade started. </FONT>

Studying in Wellington is a weird experience. It doesnt have the atmosphere of KL, yet its city centre feels like one of a metropolis. Its retail scene is really lacking, and the supposedly hippest place in town, Courtenay place, feels jaded. Its mixture of rude Maori bus drivers and narrow roads makes for a commuting nightmare. And the sheer number of traffic lights makes even walking difficult. So...hopefully my opinion will improve with time...

Hiya!

I hopped over to Glasgow on the 15th of December 2006 to visit my girlfriend after a 5 day visit to the Netherlands.
The 40 minute flight from Amsterdam was a noisy and bumpy one in the small KLM cityhopper.
I was picked up by Yi Ling from the airport and we took a bus to George street, and we carried the luggage all the way to her hostel.

I had a chance to catch a first hand glimpse of Amber Chia...ok I wasnt oogling. Man, she is tall-175cm. I do agree with many critics that she is over-exposed.

Just one of the many magazine covers that she has graced.

I managed to get a few crappy shots of her with my handphone. I was too shy to go and get an autograph.

Look at those guys all shorter than her. Haha.

I seem to remember she appeared in a movie or something. The 3rd Generation was the name i think. But I guess it bombed itself into oblivion.

Basically, the game works on an interesting premise in which you are only required to use one button instead of the traditional two. Tapping the button slowly causes the ship to fire a powerful bolt. Tapping it fast causes the ship to spray bullets. Holding the button down causes the ship to absorb enemy projectiles and reflect it back.

See those golden cubes, the main aim of the game, besides finishing it is to collect those cubes, thus filling up a meter which gradually depletes. So the cubes must be collected in a way to chain them and maintain the meter, essentially causong your score to go up exponentially.
